About Us

Ionuț Săvoiu

"Romanian Surveying Week" will become a special moment in our union’s life. Every year, for few days, in the one of the hosting university centers having geodetic engineering curricula, we will bring together during technical sessions, debates of professional subjects and technical exhibitions, people actively participating to our professional community’s life.

During these events we will have by our side university professors and companies from our professional field. I am convinced that if we will succeed to attract students and young surveyors to have a pro-active participation to the "Romanian Surveying Week" we will assure a better cohesion of our professional community, thus creating a proper climate for innovation and technical progress for our profession at European standards level, but also increasing the quality of services offered, for the benefit of whole Romanian society.

Moreover, this year for a whole week, special guest from Europe will join us in Cluj-Napoca, at the USAMV campus. Vice-President of FIG – Dr. Orhan Ercan, Former FIG President – Prof. Chryssy Potsiou, Chair of FIG Commission 3 – Prof. Hartmut Muller, former Chair – Enrico Rispoli and former FIG Vicepresident Prof. Ralf Schroth are few of the guests we are ready to welcome this year for the "Romanian Surveying Week"
