Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines:
Copyright Notice
Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out, and that, if accepted, will not be published elsewhere in the same form, in English or in any other language, without the written consent of the Publisher. The Editors reserve the right to edit or otherwise alter all contributions, but authors will receive proofs for approval before publication.
* Authors who publish with our journal retain all copyrights and agree to the terms of the above-mentioned CC BY NC ND 4.0 license.
* Co-Authorship: If the article was prepared jointly with other authors, the signatory of this form warrants that he/she has been authorized by all co-authors to sign this agreement on their behalf and agrees to inform his/her co-authors of the terms of this agreement.
GENERAL
Language: Please write your text in good English (American or British usage is accepted, but not a mixture of these). To avoid unnecessary errors, you are strongly advised to use the “spell-check” and “grammar-check” functions of your word processor.
Length of paper: 6-8 pages (3000 words) are preferred.
Title: Must be concise and informative, because titles are often used in information-retrieval systems. If it is possible, avoid abbreviations and formulae.
Author names and affiliations: Where the family name may be ambiguous (e.g., a double name), please indicate this clearly. Present the authors’ affiliation addresses (where the actual work was done) below the names. Indicate all affiliations with a lower-case superscript letter immediately after the address’s name and in front of the appropriate address. Provide the full postal address of each affiliation, including the country name and, if available, the e-mail address of corresponding address. It’s necessary to indicate separately the affiliation and e-mail address of the other authors for the Index Authors section.
Corresponding address: Clearly indicate who will handle correspondence at all stages of refereeing and publication, also post-publication. Ensure that telephone and fax numbers (with country and area code) are provided in addition to the e-mail address and the complete postal address. Contact details must be kept up to date by the corresponding address.
GENERAL RULES FOR TEXT
Please use the following rules for whole text, including abstract, keywords, heading and references. Full and complete structure of you paper, please go to https://arhicon.uoradea.ro/ro/cercetare/journal-of-applied-engineering-sciences-jaes, the Author Guidelines button (Template). You are urged to visit this site; some excerpts from the detailed information are given here.
Abstract: Is required a concise and factual abstract. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the principal results and major conclusions.
Keywords:Immediately after the abstract, provide a maximum of 6 keywords, using British spelling and avoiding general and plural terms and multiple concepts (avoid, for example, “and”, “of”). Be sparing with abbreviations: only abbreviations firmly established in the field may be eligible. These keywords will be used for indexing purposes.
Abbreviations: Define abbreviations that are not standard in this field in a footnote to be placed on the first page of the article. Such abbreviations that are unavoidable in the abstract must be defined at their first mention there, as well as in the footnote. Ensure consistency of abbreviations throughout the article.
INTRODUCTION: State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference: only relevant modifications should be described.
RESULTS: Results should be clear and concise.
DISCUSSION: This should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them. A combined RESULTS and DISCUSSION section is often appropriate. Avoid extensive citations and discussion of published literature.
CONCLUSIONS:
The main conclusions of the study may be presented in a short Conclusions section, which may stand alone or form a subsection of a DISCUSSION or RESULTS AND DISCUSSION section.
References:Citation in text:
Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). Any references cited in the abstract must be given in full, otherwise at the Abstract section citation is forbidden. Unpublished results and personal communications are not recommended in the reference list, but may be mentioned in the text. If these references are included in the reference list they should follow the standard reference style of the journal and should include a substitution of the publication date with either “Unpublished results” or “Personal communication”. Citation of a reference as “in press” implies that the item has been accepted for publication.
DOIs in References
The journal/publisher encourages authors to cite those items (journal articles, conference proceedings, book chapters, technical reports, working papers, dissertations, etc.) that have DOIs. When the cited items have DOIs, the authors should add DOI persistent links to the regular references. The DOI persistent links should be the last elements in the references. The persistent links should be active.
Format of persistent link: http://dx.doi.org/+DOI (without “doi:”)
Example of persistent link: http://dx.doi.org/10.1109/2.901164
Example of reference with DOI: Kornack, D. Rakic, P. (2001). Title of the article, in Science 294 (5549). pp. 2127-2130.http://dx.doi.org/10.1126/science.1065467
Acknowledgements:
Collate acknowledgements in a separate section at the end of the article before the references and do not, therefore, include them on the title page, as a footnote to the title or otherwise. List here those individuals who provided help during the research (e.g., providing language help, writing assistance or proof reading the article, etc.). Those who are at the doctoral training stage and published some results of their next Ph.D. thesis in JAES could be made referee about it in this section. Also, if the research is sponsored or supported by an organization, please indicate it.
Note:
a) Please present the Tables and Figures immediately after it was cited in text.
b) Please avoid using footnotes. Change footnotes to endnotes. Insert "(Note 1, Note 2)" in normal text, and explain the note after References.
You can submit your abstract for “regular” or “short” oral presentation. A regular presentation is a 10 - 15 minutes, whereas a short means a 5-minute presentation of your topic.
